Now that the final debate has passed, it's time to get to work, November 2nd is just around the corner. If anyone has been following the recent successes of the blogosphere, there have been some things to be proud of:  the rapid response after each debate has helped to shape the spin afterward; plus a number of stories have really caught fire after promotion on dKos and other sites like efforts to contact Sinclair's advertisers and the RNC-voter registration fiasco.  Let's keep the pressure on and really use the power of these internets:

Donald Rumsfeld is now indicating that the Pentagon may not release the photos and video Congress saw yesterday because lawyers inform him it may violate rights of prisoners under the Genva Conventions.

Scandal May Effect Supreme Court

In several of the threads in the last couple of days, we have been talking about the underlying issue of the Supreme Court's hearing of the rights of detainees at Gitmo.  Particularly disturbing is the timing of the delay of the release of photos until just after the Supreme Court heard arguments in two of the cases.  

The argument that the Bush Administration is trying to create a lawless enclave may be given more weight.
